Dr Alexandrou, Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist, is a London based physician with over 30 years of experience in the treatment of children. He is highly specialised in all problems with newborn babies and babies within the first year of life. Specializing in a wide range of conditions like jaundice, feeding and growth problems, reflux, coughs, asthma, fevers, infections, sickness, and skin conditions. He is also very experienced in giving baby checks, developmental assessments, and advising on immunisation schedules. He also offers prenatal consultations with prospective parents.
Mr Alexandrou is the Named Doctor for safeguarding children at Moorfields Children's Hospital. He works multi-disciplinary where he manages children with complex issues alongside other teams from tertiary paediatric centres like Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Children's Hospital.
Mr Alexandrou graduated in Medicine from Athens University Medical School, following on to undertake specialist training in paediatrics in the UK. He then went on to do further specialist training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine in Canada at the University of Western Ontario. During his training, he did a research degree on lung development at the University of London and was awarded an MD.
He contributes to medical education as the Clinical Lecturer in Child Health at St George's Medical school in which he lectures on paediatrics. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London of Medicine. He has adapted to the current pandemic and is now offering virtual consultations. He is covered by almost every insurance provider currently.
