Mr Gordon Buchanan is a consultant colorectal and general surgeon with extensive experience performing various colorectal and general surgical procedures.
He currently performs laparoscopic appendicectomy, inguinal, ventral, and incisional hernia repair, and a wide range of colorectal and general surgical treatments.
Mr Buchanon received his medical degree from St Thomas' Hospital in London. He completed colorectal and general surgery training in the United Kingdom. He also obtained advanced colorectal training at Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto). He then undertook further laparoscopic colorectal training fellowships in Colchester and Yeovil, where he gained expertise in laparoscopic appendicectomy, day-case laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and benign and malignant laparoscopic colorectal resection. In addition, he carried out research at St. Mark's Hospital and Imperial College London.
He has written publications on several topics in colorectal surgery, including anorectal problems and fistula-in-ano. He is currently conducting joint research on colorectal cancer laparoscopic resection.
