Mr Hasan Al Chalabi is an experienced Consultant General Surgeon specialising in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery, currently working at King's College London - Princess Royal University Hospital. He qualified in Medicine from the University of Baghdad in 1999, before moving to Dublin, Ireland where he completed his surgical training. Following this, he undertook advanced training in colorectal conditions at St James Hospital - Dublin and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London.
Mr Al Chalabi's research includes enhanced recovery to promote effective and rapid rehabilitation and early discharge. He has also undertaken a Master of Surgery (MCh) degree based on research in laparoscopic surgery in general and hernia repair.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Mr. Al Chalabi is also a recognised educational trainer, endoscopy trainer and a faculty member in the laparoscopic training courses in the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
