Mr Michael Morcos has been one of the Senior Consultant Gynaecologist based at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust, The Royal Free London for over 30 years and since 1st April 2022 he has been in full time enindependent practice. He has a busy clinical practice in gynaecology including malignant and premalignant conditions.
Education
Mr Morcos completed his undergraduate training at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and he went on to undertake his postgraduate training in the UK. He has worked at University College Hospital London and Queen Charlotte Hospital where he gained experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Mr Morcos become a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1988 then a fellow in 1998.
Special Interests
Mr Morcos is the Lead in Gynaecological Oncology for the trust and has a special interest in minimal access and vaginal surgery. He is also a BSCCP accredited colposcopist and is greatly involved in the cervical screening program and colposcopy service in North London. Mr Morcos has an interest in teaching and he has been awarded Honorary Clinical Teacher in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology by University College London for his teaching of undergraduate students. Mr Morcos is also a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists national and international hospital recognition committee.
Outside of work
Mr Morcos participates in fund-raising projects and travels to developing countries to operate and to teach doctors.
