Dr Paul Scott is a Consultant Cardiologist based at the London Bridge Hospital and BMI Blackheath. His NHS base is King's College Hospital. He sees patients with all types of general cardiology problems with particular expertise in heart rhythm disorders. He has more than 17 years cardiology experience.
His areas of clinical interest include the interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, treating patients with palpitations, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Much of his work involves catheter ablation, including atrial fibrillation ablation. In addition, he implants pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, including cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure patients.
Dr Scott qualified in Medicine at the University of Birmingham in 2000. Following this, he undertook general medicine and general cardiology training in Cambridge and Southampton. He completed a Doctorate degree at the University of Southampton in 2012. He finished his training with cardiac rhythm fellowships at the University Hospital Southampton, the Royal Jubilee Hospital, in the University of British Columbia, Canada, and Hammersmith and St Mary's Hospitals in London. Dr Scott joined the specialist register for Cardiology in 2012. He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at King's College Hospital in 2013.
