Dr Sarah Davies is a Consultant in Musculoskeletal, Sport and Exercise Medicine, specialising in Sports Medicine and Dance Medicine.
She is based at the following locations:
She has experience treating all types of musculoskeletal injuries, including those related to sports, dance and occupational trauma. She has worked with British Athletics at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics. She has also worked at the English Institute of Sport as Chief Medical Officer for Parashooting and Paralympic Medical Officer for British Athletics. In 2017, she expanded her practice by joining the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden, London, where she helps young dancers manage stress-related injuries and optimise their performance.
Dr Davies became interested in movement and pain during her master's degree in Classical Acting at London's Central School of Speech and Drama. She went on to complete her specialist medical training focused on sports and exercise medicine in 2012, which confirmed her interest in joint and musculoskeletal preservation.
Dr Davies has published work in the field of sports and exercise medicine and is also an examiner for the FSEM UK (membership exam for the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine).
